A long period of snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.

Snowfall will continue through the day today and will intensify overnight tonight with 10 cm of snow expected by Thursday morning. Local snowfall amounts west of and including a line from Red Deer to Drumheller may exceed 20 cm by Thursday evening.
